| Essentials in Nicotine and Youth This condensed, self-directed course provides a practical overview of nicotine use among youth and young adults and equips learners with actionable, evidence-based strategies to support cessation and behavioural change. The course explores current nicotine use trends, adolescent brain development, trauma- and violence-informed care, comprehensive assessment, motivational interviewing, youth-centred care planning, relapse prevention, and appropriate pharmacological treatments. | Essentials in Youth Vaping Interventions for Prescribers
Designed for nurse practitioners, family physicians, paediatricians, and other prescribers in Ontario, this self-directed course guides learners through a complete, evidence-informed clinical pathway for youth who vape. Across three modules structured around patient encounters, participants learn to assess vaping use, apply validated screening tools, evaluate health and developmental impacts, and navigate confidentiality and contextual factors affecting care.
