Quit Tips

Here are some tips and tricks that may help you in your quit journey.

1. GET READY
Set a quit date and try to stick to it. If you've had previous quit attempts, think about what worked and didn't work so you can anticipate some challenges.

2. GET SUPPORT
You don't have to do this alone! Counselling from trained professionals and support from your loved ones can go a long way.

3. CHANGE UP YOUR ROUTINE
Do something different! Reducing stress, distracting yourself from urges to smoke, drinking plenty of water, and adding enjoyable activities into your day are some ways to increase your chances of success.

4. EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS
Speaking to your doctor can help you explore options such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) or other prescription medications.

5. BE PREPARED FOR DIFFICULT SITUATIONS
Identify what makes you want to smoke, and try to avoid those things if possible. By anticipating challenging situations, you can be better prepared to navigate through them.
