Who
can enroll?
Ontario
residents who are currently smoking cigarettes can contact a participating STOP Program partnering organization for more
information. Currently, the STOP Program is available in most (but not all) Family
Health Teams, Community Health Centres, Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics, Addiction
Agencies, Aboriginal Health Access Centres, Indigenous Health Organizations, and
Public Health Units in Ontario. Each organization may have additional eligibility
requirements.
Note: The STOP Program is currently available only to
participating Ontario organizations. If you are unsure whether your local organization
participates in the STOP Program, please contact them directly for more
information.
How Does the STOP Program Work?
The STOP Program offers counselling support and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT;
including patch, gum, inhaler, lozenge) at no cost to people who want to quit
smoking.
